Summary: "Port Data Systems: Turning Real-time Data into Real-time Knowledge"

Port Data Systems provides you with essential real-time data on currents, water levels, winds, visibility, and other environmental factors for efficient ship traffic management. With this real-time knowledge, you can make informed decisions to maximize income potential, increase overall navi-gational safety, and protect the marine environment. We will provide examples of how existing port data systems are utilized in Tampa Bay (see http://ompl.marine.usf.edu/PORTS) and other harbors. We will show how a real-time port data system will benefit the Port of Savannah.
